ahh. there are so many things i need to update on here, like my playlist and that gross picture.

anyways.

my summer has been grand so far. actually, besides VBS and Panera with Mayci, i haven't done anything. because i've been working on my Algebra II retake class online! hooray! =[  i haven't been out of my house in a week.

i'm almost finished with it though. piece of advice- never fail a math class just because you hate your teacher. it doesn't affect them, even if they already hate you. plus you'll just hate the class 10 times worse when you're retaking it. ok?

i'm a smart kid, i don't fail. ever. but my teacher was driving me insane. she has mathmatically ruined my life. i had her two years in a row. what did i learn from her? nothing. so i didn't do any of my work. =] what a rebel. haha.

summer sectionals for band were very unproductive yesterday. i think i'm going to have to teach all of the little freshmen in my section to read music. not funnn. it does feel good being section leader this year, because then you know that everyone is looking to you to be right and to set an example, and it makes you stand out. and i can deal with that just fine.

and homecoming this year is October 26th? that's so late. =[ SGA needs to keep their dates consistent. last year it was September 23rd, and my freshman year it was October 17th or something. geez.

Aida auditions are in three weeks. i'm getting nervous. =/ but i'm singing Sympathy, Tenderness from the musical Jekyll and Hyde. one of my favorites.

now that i'm rambling and being a total music nerd, i think i'm done for today. =D

wow. it's been a year and a half since i've written anything in here.

i'll start with the basics, since most of you need to know what's been going on. I still live in Valrico, i still play the piano [8 years now], and i still go to Newsome [junior!]. however, alot of things have changed.

i don't play the violin anymore, i gave that up for a new love- percussion! i've been playing for six months now, and i play the xylophone and marimba [which is like a xylophone] and i'm learning snare drum =] and i'm the percussion captain for the 2007-2008 marching season.

i'm also in chorus now, and i'm a part of the Music Showcase Players, a talented group of teens that formed a few years ago at the Showcase who act and do musicals. it's a tight group and everyone has known each other for a while, but i'm beggining to meet alot of people there =]  we're doing Aida auditions in July. I really hope I make a lead, which is going to be tough. i really want the part of Ameris, the princess of Egypt who is super conceited and has Aida for her slave. so it's kind of a devious role. but not really towards the middle and end of the musical. it would be so much fun =]

VBS is this week! i'm working with the first and second graders with music. they are absolutely adorable =]

i still read books like mad. i've read so many books in the past few weeks, i can't keep up. right now i'm working on my summer reading lists for Advanced Placement English Language & Composition and AP United States History. five books for school! ahh!

i'm also taking two classes online over the summer, one of which i am behind on that i need to finish before i can start the other one. haha. Algebra II Honors and Pre-Calculus. math...not fun.

well, hopefully i'll actually remember to keep updating. haha. i'd love to hear from any of you who still write whom i haven't talked to in ages. maybe we can meet up? i'm getting my car, finally, in a few weeks!

It's My Birthday!!!!!!!!

More details later on.

Tuesday, November 08, 2005

Yes, so I promised one of my friends that I'd update a little more, so I'm going to ^^ I mean, this is way more important than Geometry and American Government Honors homework, right?? Of course!!!

So today we had a veterans day pep rally/assembly thing. Nothing much happened except for the fact that my purse with money and a cell phone in it fell under the bleachers and I had no idea how to get it. Some nice kid named Robbie crawled under and got it for me, though. I thought someone had taken it since I didn't know he had gotten it for me, that was kinda scary.

So you probably don't want to hear about my musical life, but hey, I'm going to post it anyways ^__^

In orchestra we're working on Christmas music, which is fun since I can play most of it except for this one song that is killing me. I'll get it eventually...

I got a new piece for the piano last week, it's the theme to the 1993 holocaust movie Schindler's List. It's a gorgeous song. I really need to be practicing my pieces for festival, too o__o I'll stop talking now...

Well, my brother is kicking me off. Bye for now everyone ^^
